In 1998, at the age of 21, Susan Yang began her entrepreneurial journey in Foshan, China — a city shaped by generations of ceramics, home products and manufacturing. The place shaped one of her earliest business convictions: the true measure of a product is not its packaging or its presentation, but whether it is reliable and worthy of being used every day in someone’s home.

What began as a four-person team evolved into a world-class R&D and manufacturing hub, driven by precision engineering and a relentless focus on quality. The capabilities expanded, but Susan’s standard did not. From 2003 onwards, she led the team into European and North American markets. Working across different regulations, standards and certification systems, she chose a direct and disciplined approach: develop, test, verify and improve.

This conviction has guided her team for years.” She repeated the phrase to her team for years. In her view, quality is not an added feature or a marketing claim. It is the most basic responsibility a company has to the people who use its products.

Over more than two decades, Susan travelled across five continents, dozens of countries and more than a hundred cities. She paid attention to how people lived: how they shaped their homes, how they understood comfort, and how they balanced independence with family support. The more she saw, the clearer one thing became. Lifestyles may differ, but people’s hopes are remarkably consistent. They want to feel comfortable. They want to retain choice. And when they need help, they still want to be treated with respect. That perspective changed the way Susan looked at something she had known throughout more than twenty years in water technology and personal wellness spaces: bathing.

Making care more dignified and life more comfortable. This became the starting point for KORRA Health’s new direction. Susan wanted to bring decades of experience in water technology, engineering and manufacturing into care — creating products that respond to real human needs, rather than asking people to adapt to complicated equipment.
